Description
This original abstract woman face painting features a striking blonde-haired figure and the delicate presence of Monarch butterfly. This captivating figurative artwork blends surreal and expressive elements, celebrating feminine beauty, transformation, and creative spirit. The composition is a vibrant reflection of artistic freedom — the woman’s face, painted with emotional depth and abstract flair, draws the eye and invites contemplation. The flowing blonde hair and fluttering butterflies evoke themes of growth, change, and renewal, making this piece ideal for art lovers who appreciate symbolism and expressive form. Perfect for modern, eclectic, or boho-inspired interiors, this one-of-a-kind piece makes a thoughtful gift or a bold statement in your own home, studio, or gallery wall. Inspiration for this Art Piece This art piece is inspired by the spiritual concepts of “light and dark” sides to each person. Our Dark side is under the control of “subconscious” (reactionary and instinctual) programming. This is symbolized by the dark side of the face and the Monarch butterfly. The blue clothing with X & O representing “Duality” where we attempt to understand good and bad, light and dark, right and wrong, based on the choices we make. The other side in the “light” (hence depicting the woman wearing sunglasses because the light is so bright, is depicted with straight lines, less chaos, and flower patterns representing a state of ‘happiness’. Hearts are flying as the heart “opens” up like a flower. We all receive a “wake-up call” at some point in our life where we transition from the dark to light, and transform ourselves like a butterfly out of a cocoon.

About

Amit Abha

Amit is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey began in the world of filmmaking, where he wrote, directed, and produced feature films, often building the visual universe himself through set design and lighting. While he trained as a physician, Amit always spent time in the visual arts, and has a keen instinct for storytelling.  He also spent time collaborating on Film Scoring with Bass Player of Scorpions, Ralph Rieckermann, winning the 2009 Park City Film Festival Award for Best Film Score.  Painting became a natural extension of his desire to explore meaning, emotion, and form. His work often fuses structural discipline with expressive freedom, creating a visual language that bridges art, science, and life.  His special interests are impressionist, geometric/art deco and cubism art styles. Impressionist and cubist artwork allows him to explore different subjects more creatively and freeform, while the geometric/art deco art styles allow him to explore subjects in a more precise, geometric, and symmetrical forms.

Amit now dedicates his time on creating original artworks that reflect his lifelong fascination with nature and human experience.
